New York Comic Con
I’ll be available and in full effect for all four days of NYCC this year! My home base is table D-42 in Artist’s Alley, right next to Ryan Browne at table D-41. I’ll be there pretty much the whole time barring the panels I have listed below. Will there be exculsives? YES THERE WILL.
The big news is that Ryan and I are debuting the first issue of our follow up to EIGHT BILLION GENIES, a book called THE LUCKY DEVILS. We’ll have the issue available in two versions - the Preview Edition (which will be available at the show and on the webstore here in a run of 1000 copies total) and the SPECIAL Preview Edition, which has a gorgeous foil cover and was printed in a run of 500. We’ve allocated some of these for online sales and some for in person, and when they’re gone, they’re gone. Online sales open up at 10 AM EST this Thursday, right when the show begins, at the store page right here on this website..
We’ll also have these very cool EIGHT BILLION GENIES coasters Ryan designed, which will be handed out free to everyone who spends money at our tables (while supplies last!)
Beyond that, here’s the current status of my panel and signing schedule below:
Thursday
Signing at Penguin Random House booth - nothing like starting off the show with some Star Wars, right? I’ll be signing here, and my understanding is they’ll be handing out free paperback copies of LIGHT OF THE JEDI while supplies last during my signing. THE FORCE IS WITH US!
10:30 - 11:30am
After that, it’s Artist’s Alley Table D-42! I’ll have so many cool books for you to get, and a number of nice pens with which to sign anything you bring me. I’m sure I’ll take a lunch break at some point, but otherwise I should be there.
Friday
Artist’s Alley from show open until about 3, barring a lunch break.
Lucasfilm Publishing Panel - Room 406.1 - I will be talking about a LOT of cool things here, along with a number of Star Wars writerly luminaries. I can promise one reveal and a tease.
3:30 - 4:30pm
Lucasfilm Author Signing - Hall 1A - A bunch of the writers you’ll have just seen on that panel will be signing in the autograph halls, which will be a fun experience for everyone involved. THE FORCE REMAINS WITH US!
4:45 - 5:45pm
That’s it for Friday, though. I’ve got some evening stuff I’ll need to run to. The good news is… we’re only halfway done with the show. That is also the bad news, if you’re my exhaustion level.
saturday
Artist’s Alley from show open until 1:30.
Marvel Fanfare with CB Cebulski - Room 405
2-3 PM - This is probably one not to miss. I’ll be on the panel with some truly amazing people, and announcing a major project I’ve been working on for YEARS.
Back to Artist’s Alley from 3:30 to show close.
Sunday
Artist’s Alley - show open until 10:45.
Image Comics Panel - Room 406.2 - Ryan Browne and I will be on this panel to talk about THE LUCKY DEVILS (the book I mentioned above), and just have a grand old time with all our friends at Image Comics.
11:00 - 12:00pm
Artist’s Alley from 12:30 to 1:45
Spider-Man and his Venomous Friends - Room 405 - yep, I’m on this one too, and yep, I’ll be announcing yet another project. This show is going to be quite something!
2:00-3:00
After that, it’s back to Artist’s Alley from 3:30 or so until show close or no one’s coming to the table anymore and I decide to pack up and go home OR I decide to pack up and go home.
WELL. That’s something, eh? Despite my whinging about how much work it’ll be and so much running back and forth, I really can’t wait. This will be one of the best NYCCs I’ll have ever done, and I know I’ll feel incredibly energized once I’m in the space. See you there!
